    Description
    Antique white porcelain molded puzzle jug, decorated with red and blue paint, and gold luster paint on the leaves.  Unmarked, circa 1880’s-1900’s.
    Based on the quality of the casting and decoration, I believe that this piece was produced as an inexpensive fairing novelty.  The “trick” of a puzzle jug is figuring out which or the small holes around the rim will allow the user to drink the contents without spilling them through the holes in the sides.
    To handle top, jug is 4 3/8” tall. Good antique condition, with a faint line visible on the inside near the rim, and minor factory flaws.  I didn’t even see the line at first, it is not that easy to spot.  Examine all of the photos to determine look and condition, they are a part of the description.
