Up on the auction block is a pair of late 1930's early 1940's HYDE
leather football cleats! They were found along with the Rawlings leather helmet we have up on Ebay right now. As the photos show, they are in game used but still very solid shape! There is a small piece of leather missing off the one boot and the other boot has 2 small tears (see close-ups). Other than that, are in great shape. There's not a lot of them left, but both appear to have the original laces.
The leather is soft and supple but still
very strong. They
have a great shine and awesome look!
The patina is 100% original!
No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. Marked along the inside of each boot is the HYDE makers mark. HYDE is also perforated into the tongue along with the size 7 1/2 size. The soles show lots of game use but are still quite solid. They measure 11 1/4" in length.
