c1890 matching pair cobalt scrollwork Mettlach mugs, Villeroy & Boch, Germany

An attractive matching pair of stoneware mugs from Villeroy & Boch of Germany. Catalog number 1062, the markings on the bottom would date these likely between 1887-1892. 5.25 inch tall beer steins that I'm guessing would have been lidded at one point but I haven't those. Fabulous cobalt blue and orange scrollwork design. One is in great shape except for a light brown smudge on the inside wall. The other has an old rim flake on one side next to some stray cobalting. Looks great otherwise and the flake has the same grey tint inside as the outside so isn't much noticeable. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows.
No international on this, unless you want to pay for the shipping.
