ceramic Munich MÜNCHEN German BIER 0.5L BEER STEIN from WEST GERMANY

Offered for bidding is
a great old original German ceramic beer stein.  It is made of eggshell-white ceramic, with a clear glazed finish, and images of the trademarks of eight different beers from Munich (see pictures).  The bottom is stamped W. Germany, so this stein dates from before the German reunification in 1990.
The stein stands 5 1/4 inches (13.3cm) tall, and measures 4 inches (10.2cm) in diameter at the base.  A U.S. quarter is shown in pictures 1 and 3, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.  It holds 0.5 liter when filled to the line (picture 4) which leaves some room for foam.
There are no chips or cracks on this mug.  The glaze is glossy with no crazing, and the transfer image is bright with no discoloration or fading.  Photos are of the exact item the buyer will receive.
