Description
Hello. I am the original owner of this Florsheim Imperial black loafer in size 13 D. This pair of shoes has been stored in original box since purchase, in smoke free air conditioned homes. In my wearing all kinds of shoes, I found that the Florsheim model Ritz was the most comfortable shoe I ever wore. No break-in period; just put them on and you're ready to go. The leather is either light weight calf skin or Kangaroo; my other Ritz shoes were all Kangaroo, so I wrote an email to the current Florsheim company asking them whether this was calf or Kangaroo. They don't know and here's how they replied to my email which had photos of the box and shoes:
spoke with our product developer and unfortunately, we do not have specific information on what type of leather was used for this shoe. The Florsheim family did not always own the brand and this is a style that was crafted during that time. Unfortunately, I would not be able to give you a definitive answer about the type of leather. I'm very sorry.
For some reason in the last years of vintage Florsheim, the description "Royal Imperial" changed to just "Imperial". I have this same loafer in different colors that look identical to this pair I'm now selling and they are marked Royal Imperial.
Please see that this is model 96085, called Ritz.
This was my backup pair and now is time for someone to get this great pair of loafers; I suspect the buyer will be someone who already knows the Ritz model.
Please see that I have some 600 transactions on ebay with 100% positive feedback, so you can trust me as the seller. I promise to treat you well as the customer. No returns on this superb set.
Bidding rules: Pay Pal only. Shipping will be .00 for USPS Priority Mail to any address in USA. For international shipment, please use the ebay Global Shipping program.
Thanks for checking this out. This is one wonderful pair of loafers, in the authentic Kangaroo and it's possible that it's calf skin as previously noted.
PS: I'm now listing on ebay: Edward Green of England shoes and boots, and also a Russell Moccassin chukka boot pair that has never been worn. Please take a look. Thanks.
