Description
For sale is one new:Fountain Pen Ink Sac Talcum Powder, ~10ml (~9g)
.
This pure
talcum powder is suitable for dusting fountain pen sacs, preventing sticking and binding. It comes in an acrylic jar filled to approximately 10ml
(~9 grams). Only a light dusting is required. Services hundreds of pens.
Notes:
Apply with soft artist or makeup brush.
Dust sacs over a creased sheet of paper to recover excess talcum powder, which is then easily tapped back into the jar.
A little powder shall find its way into jar threads during transit. While negligible, it may be recovered over paper or even dusted directly from the threads.
Sacs should insert easily and not be overly large; choosing a sack one size down from the sac nipple size is typically safe. Sacs must be cut to the correct length to ensure there is no crimping when inserted. Sac exteriors should be lightly dusted with pure talcum powder before final insertion.
Please be advised that fountain pen sac replacement can result in damage to pens when done incorrectly. The proper equipment and procedures should be used, especially when removing sections and nibs. If you are uncertain of your abilities, it is advisable to use the services of a professional.
