German Embossed HB Beer Stein 1 Liter 70's Salt Glazed Stoneware Hofbrauhaus

Description

This large German beer stein displays the logo of Hofbrauhaus, the celebrated beer hall in Munchen, Germany.
The logo is beautifully embossed, while many steins of this caliber have only printed logos.
There is a hole in the handle to support a lid, although this stein doesn't have one; and beside the handle, the potter has stamped a number and a letter to indicate "one liter."
Near the top of the stein there is a small area that is slightly lighter than the rest of the vessel; it's under the glaze and would have been done by the potter, but it certainly doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this stein.
All told, this stein will be the life of the party, come Octoberfest; or any other fest, for that matter.
