    Description

    We are offering a Faience tankard or stein that was made around 1800. The stein is 8 7/8” tall.
    The scene is of a German verse “Funf Sieter und eine MaB inneht grad dir Gurzel maB” with flowers. The lid is made from pewter and has musical motif with two lovebirds as the thumblift. There is a hallmark on the underside of the lid. The stein has no serious flaws. There is a little roughness on the top rim under the lid and a flake on the handle. I think that this is a very unusual stein and makes a wonderful addition to any advanced collectors collection.
