    Description

    Really nice 1/4L Gerz Black Whale of Ascalon etched stein.  Sometimes also spelled Ashkelon or Askalon.  You will sometimes see the olive green or brown, and very rarely see the light blue or grey etched steins by Gerz.
    This cream colored etched version in any of their steins is seldom seen, call it rare?
    This is 6th in the series and shows the drinker getting kicked out of the Ascalon pub. The lid appears to be a possible period replacement or addition. Done very nicely.
