Hand-held Leather Makiwara. Striking pad. Martial Arts. Hojo Undo. Punching bag.

Alex N. from Fairbanks, Alaska who trains very hard, requested a makiwara with a larger striking surface, and
hence from which was born the Do-10 Mini-MAK 5.0.  It has the same design and material as its smaller brother but 5 inches in diameter and additional mass -- almost 1 pound total now -- and red color for fun.  However, this pad will not fit as easily into your pocket.  Interestingly, the increased size and weight give the pad a totally different feel.  Your grip has opened up, the impact sounds and feels much sharper, and you notice the heft of the target now.  It feels like striking any bigger body part with skin over bone like the skull.  That may make one take just an instant to consider which weapon to use for which target;  Knuckles to the belly?  Or hammer-fist to the face?  This one pictured will be sent to Alex but I fabricated a bakers dozen of identical MAKs to list here on Ebay.  So try one if you like, consider it another new tool to put in your training tool box.  JB
