    Description:
    Here for auction is this extremely rare Pete Simon Gerz Pedestal and and jardiniere! It is blue salt-glazed stoneware. It is 3pc; jardiniere, column and base. The design features several faces in relief, and other scrolled elements. I think it is some sort of presentation item and probably very scarce. The jardiniere and base are marked with the antique Simon Gerz triangle and stein logo, and also numbered as shown. The middle column section is apparently unmarked. I've only ever seen one example similar to this, and it was 2-pc, damaged and still priced at almost ,000.
    Condition:
    Light overall antique wear throughout. At the very bottom of the base, there are very fine crazing lines; there is a small nick on the jar handle. All very minor. No repairs or restoration. It is a little wobbly, and the pieces don't fit perfectly. Still, it displays very well.

    approx. 42" high overall; the jar is approx 18" across at the handles; the base is approx 15" in diameter at the bottom. Unboxed, it weighs over 55 lbs.
