We have a rare stoneware stein that was made in 1908 for the Hof-Bräuhaus brewery of the famous Hofbräuhaus drinking hall and restaurant in München Germany. The stein is a 1L and is 8 3/4” tall.  The mold number is 1526 and the decoration has no number. This stein has a custom pewter lid for the

Brewery in Germany. There is an inscription of number 24808 which is the owner of the stein. When he or she went to drink at their beer hall this stein was kept for them to use. Since the number is so high I am guessing that it was also available at Oktoberfest in the fall. The stein has no chips or cracks. The pewter lid has tears on the edge from being used so much. Prosit! To Your Health! Bottoms up! I think that this is a very unusual stein and makes a wonderful addition to any advanced collectors collection.
