Up for sale is an awesome Early Old Antique 1940’s very cool Large front wing back VINTAGE KEN WEL SPORTING GOODS Leather Football (top black 2 bar cross panels) Helmet. Adult size helmet and measures to adult size 7 to 7 1/4 - includes the nice canvas chin strap and leather fob - must see all photos - front thick padded leather with all panels tightly stitched (interior leather eight spoke harness with thick clean circular center pad (interior is in sweet shape and condition with the leather lining complete and soft and supple and includes the top shell cover canvas skull lining - this are often missing and were discarded on these old beauts - this antique gem has 100% of the skull liner intact and clean and in great shape (see phot); note; stitching tight and thick and clean throughout and includes the canvas chin strap with adjusting chin rest and clips!! Super look and must see all photos to appreciate). Beautiful dark double wing front with 2 bar leather cross straps!! This is an old antique awesome Looking old gridiron head harness!! This is a very cool 1940's adult size all thick clean and sturdy leather football helmet - see silver lettering and Sporting Goods company Ken WEL deeply inscribed into the back leather panel along with the punched model number of 755 ! As the photos show, the helmet is in very nice overall shape (see all photos for condition)! The leather is soft and supple and still holding up very strong for being close to 85 plus year old - wow!!! It has a great shine and awesome look! The intimidating leather patina is 100% worn original (white hard shell is factory original and in nice white color and offset. The leather interior of the helmet is in very good condition and as you can see has the thick canvas interior 8 spike harness which denotes the higher quality and craftmanship. It is all present and is in quality shape and condition; especially for helmets of this era). This very cool antique thick rare leather football helmet would look killer displayed in your home, office, den or sports room!
