Retiring professional photographer selling all equipment. This Kirk ballhead was my first tripod head after turning pro, and it has served me well for many years. Used by such greats as Art Wolfe, this head has clamping jaws that utilize the dovetail 'Arca Swiss' method of  clamping onto a camera or lens baseplate as the jaws are tightened. It has the three standard controls -  a lock for the panning motion, a tensioning knob that is adjusted to steady the load based on weight, and finally the larger knob that is used to lock the camera/lens load once composition is achieved. It has a standard 3/8" female thread in the bottom that attaches to the tripod legs. As you can see from the photos, this head is well used, but still performs perfectly - a testament to its build quality as the head is now well over 20 years old.
