Up on the auction block is a rarely seen game used late 1930's nine lace Beggs Cobb leather football! The nine laces were first produced in the early 1930's for a short period then made another short come back in the late 1930's.
As the photos show, the ball is in game used but good shape (see all photos for condition). The leather has light game used surface wear through out (mostly on the tips) but no major damage.
The patina is 100% worn original. The ball has a great look and nice shine. When we acquired this beast, the bladder would only hold a few pounds of pressure. We replaced it with a brand new Wilson bladder and laced it up with thick antique leather laces. The Beggs Cobb makers logo is clearly marked on the side of the ball along with Official.
Wood display stand is not included.
