Mettlach Beer Stein Tankard 1431 German Shepherd Dog Engraved Pewter Lid 1896

Description

The Mettlach stein offered is a 1/2 L capacity with a height of 6 1/4” to the top of the thumblift. The mold number is 1431 and there is no decoration number. The stein body is undecorated. This stein has a pewter lid with a German Shepherd dog and engraved names. I assume this was made for a dog club or competition of some type. There are no cracks or chips on the stein.
This stein is a great addition to any advanced collectors collection.
