The zinc and steel construction of the
8600 Series spiral gauge
makes it suitable for use in hydraulic, lubricating, or fuel oil tanks. They are also suitable for gasoline and diesel fuel tank levels in a variety of stationary equipment, construction and maintenance vehicles such as road sweepers and water spray trucks. The gauge incorporates a strong nickel-plated Alnico magnet. The magnet is capable of driving a standard (Included) or Twin Site sender (also available) that sends an electrical signal to a remote receiver (gauge) and provides a direct, fractional reading. The gauges have a 1 1/2" MNPT tank connection (2" adapter available) and are suitable for tank pressures up to 25 PSIG They are designed for top mounting in tanks up to 36" [914 mm] deep General Specifications* Accuracy depends upon proper gauge sizing. Direct read dials ±8%, Twin Site dials ±12%. Temperature Standard operating range is -40°F to 158°F, -40°C to 70°C. Shock and Vibration: Shorter models are suitable for off-road applications. Approval: Available UL listed for flammable liquids. Materials of Construction* Head: Die-cast Zinc, Support Rod: Zinc coated Steel, Center shaft: Brass.
