These are new Waterman Standard International format cartridges used on many Waterman pens as well as by many other pen brands, vintage or new using this standard. This standard was introduced in the 60s and its still used today. Please note, older Waterman pens may use different, Waterman Specific "CF" cartridges that were made until 1980-1990s. Also keep in mind, that these long size cartridges do not fit all pens even if the pens use the same Standard International size. That is because some pens that use the short size ink cartridge cannot use the long one as there is not enough barrel length/space, usually at the back end of the barrel. Hence if you are not sure which length cartridge your pen uses, long or short, it's always safer to go with the short standard international size cartridges. This is a highest quality ink, great flow, consistency and viscosity, easy to clean as its water based, does not stain the pen or react chemically with its parts if left inside even for decades. Waterman Ink is one of the best fountain pen inks in the world.

What type of cartridges use different pen brands?
Some of the manufacturers that use these Standard International cartridges are: Montblanc, S.T. Dupont, Cartier, Reform, Senator, Pelikan, Kaweco, Faber-Castell, Rotring, Omas, Waterman, Diplomat, Montegrappa, Caran d'Ache, Visconti and others. Keep in mind that this is not always the case as there some periods and some models of each manufacturer that uses their own specific type of cartridges or different standard cartridges.
For example, Waterman and Sheaffer uses their own type of cartridge on some pens (mostly vintage), and Standard International on other mostly newer pens. Hence, it is always good to have and keep at least one original cartridge from your fountain pen for future reference.
Some of the manufactures that DO NOT use the Standard International size ink cartridges, i.e. they use their own format are: Lamy, Aurora, Cross, Pilot, Platinum, Parker and others.
