ORIGINAL WW1 GERMAN ARMY GROUP RUPPRECHT of BAVARIA 1914-1917 STEIN

Description

This is a very rare beer stein/tankard from Heeresgruppe Kronprinz Rupprecht Von Bayern (English - Rupprecht or Rupert, Crown Prince of Bavaria).
Salt Glazed Stoneware with underglazed Blue Date and Inscriptions. No visible makers mark.
The 'Army Group Crown Prince Rupprecht' was a major unit and the command authority of the German Army during the First World War.
This is a very rare and sought after stein and has the '1L' mark near the handle.
The writing on the stein states '1914-1917 HEERESGRUPPE KRONPR. RUPPRECHT VON BAYERN' and there is the Iron Cross emblem between the dates.
The stein is in great condition for its age.
Entirely original. No repairs. No chips.  The 'defects' that one can see on the photos are from the time of manufacture.
