Platinum’s Classic Inks have a fantastic color-shifting tendency that all lean towards black when dry.
These inks are iron gall inks, meaning that they are made with tannins and iron sulfates. The iron component of the ink oxidizes as the ink dries creating a deeper color and leads to excellent water resistance.
These inks, however, must be used with some care. They are best used in pens with gold nibs. If you use these inks in a pen with a steel nib it should be cleaned regularly. Some say daily, some say weekly. Unused steel nib pens with iron gall inks will often corrode within days. Regular cleaning is HIGHLY recommended.

The 6 included colors are:
Cassis Black – A beautiful light cherry red that turns to a deep crimson-burgundy
Citrus Black – The best color change, from a bright yellow to a rich gold-ish yellow with black undertones
Forest Black – A rich, deep green
Khaki Black – Begins as a soft khaki brown but ends as the color of walnut stain
Lavender Black – This one borders more on fuchsia when wet but turns to a warm purple
Sepia Black – A deep, chocolate brown-black
Our ink samples are packaged in tight-capped vials and contain 3ml of ink per sample (sometimes a bit more).
Shipping
Shipping costs:
We offer a combined shipping maximum of .99 via USPS First Class Mail Parcel Service for orders totaling less than one pound of weight shipped within the United States.
Orders above one pound will ship via Priority Mail.
For any number of items with a shipping fee, your maximum shipping cost will be .99 if purchased together on one order.
You must use the "Add to cart" button to purchase more than one item from our listings.
The shopping cart should only charge .99 for USA domestic shipping no matter how many items you purchase from us.
International shipping charges will be calculated based on the ship-to country.
Delivery time:
Most domestic orders will be received in 3-5 days.  International orders average 10-14 days, but may take longer.
Payment
At this time we only accept payment via PayPal. PayPal does allow credit card payments without signing in, if you would prefer not to or if you do not have a PayPal account.
Returns
We offer a 30 day return policy that is limited to un-opened and un-used items in their original packaging.  Any item that shows signs of being opened, used, or cleaned or is missing any of its original packaging will incur a 25% restocking fee.
Return shipping costs will be paid by the buyer unless an item is found to be defective or if the wrong item was received.  We will cover all shipping costs for defects and errors on our part
