    Description
    Classic motto stein made in Germany. It's stamped Germany on the bottom which indicates it was made prior to World War II when Germany was unified.
    The stein has a motto on two panels -
    "Behüt Dich Gott, es wär so schön gewesen, behüt Dich Gott, es hat nicht sollen sein " which translates "God protect you, it was so fine, God protect you, it never shouldn’t have been" The third panel
    depicts a famous scene from Nessler’s Opera, Der Trumpeter Von Säckinger.
    The stein stands 6" tall and the bottom diameter is 3.5".
    Condition is Excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs; there is overall crazing.
    This was purchased in Germany in the early 1960's. No lid or indication that their was a lid. Guaranteed authentic.
