These hand operated Hilmor mandrel benders are nearly impossible to find.
They were the bender of choice for many USA and UK race car fabricators back in the day, as it was the perfect machine to create smooth and consistent cross section bends in long aluminum water tubes, oil lines, chassis tubes, etc.
I’m told this particular bending machine was passed down from Van Diemen, to G-Force Precision Engrg UK, to Elan Motorsports, etc.
Complete with ball mandrels, heavy steel die blocks, steel followers, extensions, mobile bench, etc.
Sizes range from 3/4” diameter to 1-1/2” diameter in various bend radii.
These mandrel benders seldom come up for sale, but when they do, their cost is often in excess of ,000.  My opening bid is less than what the die blocks alone would cost.
