  • Condition: This is in good condition. There are no cracks or chips in the porcelain. The lid is plain and flat and has a few scratches. The inside is very nice. The colors of the flowers and fence on the outside are nice and bright. The fish show some crazing,, see photos.

    Up for sale is a
    SARREGUEMINES Handpainted Porcelain Brass Lid Beer Stein Mug Signed HOGL  0.5L.  This is a porcelain beer stein that has a hand painted scene of flowers and a golden fence.
    On the side it is marked 1/2 underlined.  The bottom is marked "Sarreguemines with Hogl signed over the top". There also is the letter XB embossed in the bottom.  Research showed this was from
    Sarreguemines, a community in North East France.
    The approximate measurements are shown in the photos.  5 1/2" tall (including thumblift) or 4 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" diameter.   Approximately 0.5 liter of liquid.
    This is in good condition.  There are no cracks or chips in the porcelain.  The lid is plain and flat and has a few scratches.  The inside is very nice. The colors of the flowers and fence  on the outside are nice and bright. The finish shows some crazing.
