Up on the auction block is a sweet late 1930's early 1940's Rawlings model A25 Aviator style
leather football helmet! This helmet was found with the HYDE leather cleats we have on Ebay right now. As the photos show, the helmet is in game used condition and has the gridiron battle scars to prove

. It has wear through out and what look to be a few old repairs on some of the seams. The worst would be on the left side above the ear hole (see close-up). Overall, the helmet is in good shape and is holding up fine. It has surface wear through out and some old paint from the original team

The leather is soft and supple but still
very strong.
It
has a nice shine and an awesome look with some of the original black patina worn off to the original brown leather.
The patina is 100% original!
No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. The Rawlings makers logo is marked on the back center of the helmet along with the A25 model number. Rawlings is also marked on the inner suspension strap connecting pad along with the size 7 1/4. The leather interior of the helmet also has wear and light damage but most of it is still present and still soft.
The wood display stand
is not included.
