Very Early Rare  Antique Victorian Handmade Tin Apple Corer!

ESCRIPTION:
Scans show it all.....particularly nice, particularly early antique apple corer. from the Victorian period, c. 1860-70.. Fabricated from heavy tin. The flat tin sheets have been rolled into a round shaft with a cross "T" handle. THIS WORKS SO WELL, AND COULD STILL BE USED TODAY!! Makes quick work of apples. At the time that this was made, apples were cored and sliced, then dried on strings for efficient storage. This would make quick work of multiple bushels. Push down on the core, and the sharp edge cuts through...you don't even have to remove it, as the next one pushes the first one up and out the cut-out as shown.....then again and again and again.
Corer is 6" long x 3 3/4" handle. Entire piece has a diameter of 3/4".
One of the ONLY ones I have seen. A great antique kitchenware collectable or display item, OR IT CAN STILL BE USED!!!
In every good condition, with super looking aged tin patina!!!  A great decorating item for the kitchen or hearth, or with a variety of other early tin or kitchenware items.
All complete, and could still be used!
