VINTAGE GERMAN 6 CASTLES Pottery Stein CIDER WINE PUNCH BOWL TUREEN COOKIE JAR

Description

Really nice handled pottery cider bowl by Marzi Remy ( R/M mark on the bottom) .  Beautiful green glaze and Heavily embossed all around with scenes of Burg Gondore, Burg Thurand, Ehrenburg, Godesburg, Marksburg and  Drachenfels, as well as leaves, grapes, and a banner.
The banner says :
Blonde Frauen und Sonnenschein, duftende Auen und koestlichen Wein, findest du nur an Mosel und Rhein.
It translates to :
Blond women and sunshine, fragrant fields and delicious wine, you only find at Mosel and Rhine.
There are several engraved markings on the bottom, including the maker's mark (M/R), the number 2834, and "3L".
measurements: 5 1/4" bottom diameter. tall 6 1/4" without lid and about 10 1/2" with lid. About 12" from handle to handle.
This would make a fantastic cookie jar.
There is a chip on the inside of the lid that is hardly visible when the lid is on the pot.
Other than that it is in very good used condition.
