We offer for your consideration this vintage wood Camera tripod.
This is a beautiful old camera tripod that was manufactured by the Thalhammer Company of Los Angeles, California. Craig Thalhammer went on to start Craig Movie Supply  in Hollywood back in 1958. So this tripod may predate the Movie supply company. This tripod is the product of a company that had deep ties to the history of movie making in Hollywood.
This tripod has a dual swivel head. The base swivels and there is a smaller fine tune swivel for the camera screw mount attachment. The mount screw is 1/4" coarse thread.
There is also a tilt arm. The rubber mount pad will need to be replaced. The top half of the camera mount looks to be chromed steel. The lower half, the leg mount casting, looks to be brushed nickel.
The wood legs look to be made of a clear grain Oak. The legs have no angle adjustments so it is possible to get very low with this tripod. The center extension of each has two styles of ends, one spike end, one small rubber foot end. This is a nice feature to have, to adjust to the surfaces you may find yourself setting up on.
The legs, when stowed are approximately 31 inches.
They can be extended to approximately 57 inches.
This tripod weighs approximately 3 pounds.
