HUTH-JAMES VINTAGE Sno-Go insulated work boots from the early 1950's!
The FLOAT AWAYS insole is extremely comfortable to wear, and the outsole is CUSH-N-CREPE (cushion crepe sole). So it is a wonderful boot that you can wear for a long time without getting tired.
Huth-James transitioned from strictly women's shoes to include men's shoes and paramilitary boots during WWII. The latest mention i can find for the Sno-Go name was 1952. They didn't make the Floataway insole until 1949. I think this boot dates to the late 1940's or early 1950's.
They show both age and wear as pictured. I'm selling them as collector's boots. I suspect they would need a professional restoration before wearing them daily.
They were originally very well made with a sewn midsole and full leather lining. The shaft has some insulation in it as well. This is the company that produced the "Official Boys Trooper Boot" during the same period. From the few pictures I could find, this looks like the cold weather version of that boot.
